Bistro Wins Good Pub Food Guide Award

  • Bistro Wins 1 Schooner in SMH Good Pub Food Guide Awards

The Imperial Bistro received 1 schooner in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Pub Food Guide Awards 2012, with the judges scoring us an impressive 16/20, & said… The Imperial has foregone old-world shtick in favour of a sleek design with colourful cushions & a bold metallic artwork. But there is no trickery in the menu, just pub favourites polished to restaurant standard. The hero dish is the King of Steaks, a 500-gram rib-eye on the bone aged for 28 days and served on a bed of rustic baked vegetables with a pot of indulgent potato gratin. The butter chicken pot pie is also royally good with a proper kick of chilli. For dessert we tossed up between a creme brûlée with smoked blueberry & a key lime pie. The pie won – and so did we.
